About Oleanz 5 Tablet

Oleanz 5 Tablet contains Olanzapine 5 mg. This is an antipsychotic medicine used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. It helps calm disturbed thinking, reduce hallucinations and steady mood. It can cause weight gain and raise blood sugar and cholesterol, so regular check-ups are needed. Do not stop it suddenly.

  • In elderly people with dementia, medicines of this type have been linked to a higher risk of stroke and death; they should be used in this group only if a specialist decides it is needed

How to use

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed, usually once a day at the same time. Swallow the tablet with water; it can be taken with or without food. Do not stop it suddenly.

How it works

It blocks the effects of certain brain chemicals, mainly dopamine and serotonin, that are thought to be out of balance in schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
