About Nizral Shampoo
Nizral Shampoo contains Ketoconazole 2%. Ketoconazole shampoo is an antifungal medicated shampoo. It treats dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis of the scalp, which are linked to a yeast that lives on the skin. It can also be used on the body for a yeast-related skin condition called pityriasis versicolor.

How to use
Use it as your doctor or the label advises. Wet your hair and scalp, apply the shampoo and work it into a lather. Leave it on for 3 to 5 minutes, then rinse it off well. For skin patches on the body, apply to the affected skin, leave for 3 to 5 minutes and rinse. Avoid getting it in your eyes; if it does, rinse with plenty of water.
How it works
It blocks the yeast from making ergosterol, a key part of its cell wall. This stops the yeast growing and reduces the flaking and inflammation it causes.
