About Clotrimazole 100 mg Vaginal Tablet
Clotrimazole 100 mg Vaginal Tablet contains Clotrimazole 100 mg (vaginal). Clotrimazole vaginal tablet is an antifungal medicine placed inside the vagina. It treats vaginal yeast infections (thrush), which cause itching, burning and a thick white discharge. It is usually used once a day at bedtime for the number of days your doctor advises.

How to use
Wash your hands. Use the applicator provided to place the tablet as deep into the vagina as is comfortable, ideally at bedtime while lying on your back with knees bent. Stay lying down afterwards. Wash your hands and clean the applicator as the leaflet explains. Use it for the full number of days your doctor advises. Ask your doctor about using it during your period.
How it works
It damages the outer layer (membrane) of the yeast cells, which stops them growing and kills them.

If you miss a dose
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember, then continue as usual. Do not use two tablets at once.
Quick tips
- Use the full course, even if symptoms go away early.
- It can damage latex condoms and diaphragms — use another form of contraception during treatment and for a few days after.
- Avoid douches, tampons and perfumed soaps during treatment.
- Wear loose cotton underwear and keep the area dry.
- See your doctor if this is your first infection or if infections keep coming back.
